Svartalfheim

The deep forges, new enemies and hazards, progression-based challenges, and reward fixes.

These notes describe a testing build. Store access depends on review, processing, and testing enrollment; RuneShift has not launched publicly.

Version 0.11.0 has been submitted to Google Play closed testing (build 141) and TestFlight (build 42). Both uploads succeeded. Availability depends on store review, processing, and testing enrollment. A Windows 0.11.0 private alpha is also available to invited itch.io testers; see setup and account help. The later signed-in password settings and per-set admin challenge controls are not included in these initial builds.

Svartalfheim

  • Descend into Svartalfheim, a realm of underground forges, hostile smiths, and mechanical constructs.
  • Battle a new roster of forge constructs and spellcasting smiths, face the lightning-breathing Forge Wyrm, and challenge the paired bosses Fjalar and Galar.
  • Defense drones target runes near your latest match. On Hard, a defense turret joins them, sweeping away entire rows or columns. These hazards disrupt your board without directly damaging your health.
  • Echo of Thor and the Thunderstone relic now await in Svartalfheim. Echo of Skadi remains in Niflheim, and any Thunderstone you already own stays yours.
  • Svartalfheim joins the Endless Gauntlet with its enemies, paired bosses, and realm hazards.
  • Earn six Svartalfheim achievements for realm clears, bestiary discoveries, and combat feats. All-realm achievement requirements now include Svartalfheim; achievements already earned remain yours.
  • Explore with new realm artwork, themed frames, forge embers and electrical arcs, plus dedicated music and combat sounds.

Challenges

  • Daily and weekly challenges now draw from the realms you have unlocked. New realms join at the next daily or weekly reset, without replacing your current challenge or granting extra reward claims.
  • The No Healing modifier now counts more heavily toward challenge difficulty.

Fixes and polish

  • Already-owned signature relics no longer appear as new drops. Repeat kills use the encounter’s normal loot instead.
  • Improved server reconnection after returning to the game from the background.
  • The Weekly Time Attack leaderboard tab retries failed loads without requiring a visit to the Time Attack page.
  • Fixed main-menu panels overlapping active-run information.
  • Shared realm-clear images include more battle statistics, match and chain breakdowns, and challenge modifiers.
  • Battle reports include longer chains instead of stopping the breakdown at chain eight.
