Common
The rank and file you cut through in waves. A common foe wears no marker on its nameplate, so a bare plate tells you it is exactly what it looks like.
In detail
The default class. A Common carries no rank or role marker on its nameplate, which is why a bare plate tells you what you are looking at. The marked classes are Elite, which is a rank, and Minion or Summon, which are roles.
